Thatcham's winless run against Bishops Cleeve continued in this match, but despite the scoreline Thatcham had much the better of the first half.

A pass out to Aaron parfitt on the right hand side, his cross almost caught out Cleeve keeper Tom King as he fumbled his catch with the ball almost going over the line before he turned to gather the ball.

Some good play down the left hand side between Will Bratt Mario Nurse and Scott Rees. Rees' cross was met with a diving header from Sean Cook that went close but the flag was up.

Another Thatcham attack this time down the right hand side. A cross in from Sean Cook was met with a powerfull header from Gareth Thomas but Tom King held well.

Thatcham continued to attack, another Sean Cook cross this time headed away by a defender but only as far as Mario Nurse on the edge of the box with his first time shot going over the cross bar.

Some good bulid up play from Thatcham led to a one two between James Clark and Scott Rees with Clark then laying off to Gareth Thomas whos shot was deflected wide.

It was in the 34th minute that Cleeve took the lead with the first of two soft penalties. Cleeve captain Richard Mansell stepped up and fired straight down the middle for 1-0.

Eight minutes later Cleeve doubled their lead, when striker Elliot Kennedy was played through one on one to fire into the far corner for 2-0.

The second half started with some end to end play. An early chance for Cleeve when again Elliot Kennedy went through but this time he fired wide of the far post.

Thatcham sub Carl Self went through after a pass from James Clark, but he lifted his shot over the keeper and the cross bar.

An unlucky offside went against Thatcham when Sam tucker went through on the left after clearly coming from behind the defender only to see the linesman flagging.

Bishops Cleeve secured the points three minutes from time when another soft penalty was awarded for a 'foul' on Julian Alsop, again Captain Richard Mansell stepped up with Paul Strudley getting a touch but unable to keep the ball out.
