The FA Cup is a competition that allows clubs from the 10th tier of English football all the way up to the Premier League to compete — a true football democracy.

During the summer, Petersfield were transferred into the Wessex Premier Division, and they made a winning start to their campaign on Tuesday night with a 3-0 away win at Brockenhurst, with Dan Wood, Harrison Cable and Kian Towse on target.

The two sides met at this same stage of the FA Cup in 2017, with Thatcham defeating The Rams 5-0. In the first half Harry Grant tapped home from Joe Blount’s cross, before Ekow Elliott added a second after the break. Shane Cooper-Clark added a brace - the first from a penalty - before substitute Lamin Sankoh sealed a resounding win.

Please note if the game is drawn after 90 minutes then the replay will be 5th August.
