The Blues return to The Stacatruc Stadium for a midweek clash with Cirencester Town (Tuesday, 7:45 kick off)

Thatcham’s most recent victory over Paulton Rovers on Saturday saw The Kingfishers fly to second in the table.

Danny Robinson’s side are unbeaten in all competitions this term after wins against Willand Rovers, Sholing, Andover New Street and Paulton in recent weeks.

Cirencester also boast an impressive record this season - keeping three consecutive league clean sheets and scoring nine goals in games against Bristol Manor Farm, Highworth and Melksham.

The away side’s only defeat so far came in their opening day 3-1 loss to Cinderford Town.

Head-to-head:

Thatcham Town 1-2 Cirencester Town (Southern League: February, 2019)

Cirencester came from behind to take all three points against The Kingfishers in February. Scott Rees put Thatcham ahead with a fine half-volley in the first half before goals from Ben Whitehead and Alan Griffin saw the visitors leave with a narrow win.

Cirencester Town 6-2 Thatcham Town (Southern League: November, 2018)

Robinson’s squad suffered a 6-2 away defeat in one of the club’s worst results of the season. Henry Spalding put Cirencester 1-0 up after eleven minutes before George Jeacock’s penalty levelled the score.

Whitehead then added a swift hat-trick before Spalding found his second of the game. James Tennant scored a late consolation goal but substitute Aiden Bennett rounded the game off moments later.

Thatcham Town 2-0 Cirencester Town (FA Trophy: October, 2018)

A Shane Cooper-Clark double saw The Blues progress into the First Round Qualifying stage of the FA Trophy during the 2018/19 campaign.

The forward swept in his first goal from close 20 minutes into the match before bursting past the defence and slotting home his second in the latter stages of the game.
