Melksham Visit The Stacatruc Stadium.

Matthew Lovegrove23 Oct 2020 - 06:36

We return to league action this weekend as we host Melksham Town at The Stacatruc Stadium.

The Kingfishers squad will be looking to bounce back as we aim to put last weekends FA Trophy disappointment behind us.

Melksham like ourselves have gained 3 points from their opening 5 games of the season and sit one place above us in the table.

There's another two former Kingfishers returning to The Stacatruc Stadium this weekend, last seasons top scorer Felipe Barcelos who bagged 22 goals in 32 games and Adam Kelly, he made 30 appearance last season. Both are now a part of the Melksham Town squad, we're sure you'll give them both a warm welcome.

Last seasons fixtures:

Sat 21st Sep
Melksham Town 1-1 Thatcham Town
Felipe Barcelos levelled the scores for 10 man Thatcham who went on to finish the game with 9 men with both Scott Rees and goalscorer Felipe Barcelos both sent off.

Sat 18th Jan
Thatcham Town 0-2 Melksham Town
Luke Ballinger and Albert Hopkins secured the points for the visitors.

And of course who can forget our encounter with Melksham in our FA Vase run of 2018.

With over 2,000 in attendance, Ekow Elliott's late strike saw us progress to the Semi-Final before eventually going on to win the tournament.

Back to this season, the squad will be sure to put in maximum effort as they look to secure a first league win, coming so close bar a last gasp equaliser in our last league game away at Bideford a fortnight ago.

Again if you are attending this weekends game please follow all guidelines. We look forward to seeing you all there.
