A look at Saturdays results in The Evo-Stik League Southern Premier.

AFC Totton opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division table when, after taking the lead from an 8th minute penalty, they scored twice after the break to win 3-0 at Brackley Town, who, as a result, slipped two places to fourth.

Totton end Brackley’s unbeaten home record and the Saints also finished the game with ten-men following the second half dismissal of Francis Green.

But they missed several good chances to take the lead before they fell behind to Gosney’s penalty. The visitors doubled their advantage ten minutes after the restart when Nat Sherborne raced clear to beat Jon Bond before Green got a straight red card for his challenge on Ryan Hill. Substitute Michael Charles added a third deep into stoppage-time.

Brackley`s neighbours Banbury United moved into second place after a convincing 5-2 victory at Evesham United.

The Puritans had the game in the bag inside the first 15 minutes as they raced into a 3-0 lead with goals from Glenn Walker, Simeon Williams and Will Green.

Evesham reduced the arrears just before the break through Kevin Spencer but second half goals from Walker and Aaron Woodley put United 5-1 up before Steve Luckett grabbed a late second.

Cambridge City scored 10 minutes from time through substitute Lee Clift to win 1-0 at Bashley and take over third place, while Oxford City moved into fifth with a comfortable 2-0 win at Barwell, courtesy of goals from Declan Benjamin after 18 minutes and Wayne Blossom 10 minutes from time.

Leamington stayed in touch with the leading pack when a goal 12 minutes from time by new signing David Kolodynksi secured a 1-0 home victory over Hitchin Town.

Stourbridge conceded a goal in each half from Danny May and Matt McEntegart to go down 2-0 at Hemel Hempstead Town, presenting the home team with their first Lleague win of the season.

Frome Town scored a minute after the break through Matt Smith to win 1-0 at Cirencester Town and Chesham United scored twice in each half to record a 4-1 home win over Weymouth.

The Terras took the lead through AFC Bournemouth loanee Tim Stephenson and had chances to go even further ahead before United replied with two goals before half-time.

The visitors then enjoyed a fine 20-minute spell at the start of the second period but were unable to draw level and ended up taking further punishment when they attempted to throw caution to the wind in the later stages.

Simon Thomas with two, Brad Wadkins and Danny Talbot did the damage for the hosts

St Albans City took the lead in the first minute through Danny Hart and scored again after the break through Jerome Walker to win 2-0 at home against Redditch United, while Chippenham Town scored midway through the second half and then added two late goals to secure a 3-0 home win over Bedford Town – all their goals coming from striker Dave Gilroy.

Swindon Supermarine secured a 1-1 draw at Arlesey Town with a goal a minute from time from Rob Dean after Joel Mason had given the home side a 16th minute lead, but the point could not prevent `Marine slipping back to the foot of the table.
