Paul Ayres7 May - 15:03

The club are saddened to hear the news of the passing Bill Bateman, long time supporter of Thatcham Town Football Club

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of long-time supporter, Bill Bateman, who died on 30th April 2025.

Bill was a familiar and much-loved face at Waterside Park, always found in his regular seat by the tunnel, where he cheered on Thatcham Town FC with unwavering passion and pride. His presence, energy, and humour brought warmth to every matchday. A jovial character, and a supporter of the game. Whether sharing a laugh or a story, he made an impact on all who knew him.

His love for the club ran deep, and his absence will be felt by everyone – from fellow fans to players and staff alike.

We send our deepest condolences to Bill’s family and friends at this difficult time. The Thatcham Town FC community stands with you in grief and remembrance.
