Thatcham Town Football Club would like to formally announce that Eric and Sylvia Bailey have stepped down from their roles within the club, bringing to a close more than three decades of outstanding service.

Eric and Sylvia have been true stalwarts of Thatcham Town Football Club, holding a wide variety of roles over the years. Their dedication, passion, and tireless commitment behind the scenes have been instrumental in shaping the club’s identity and success.

Throughout their long association with the club, they have witnessed, and contributed to, many achievements and memorable moments, Not least among these was the unforgettable 2017/18 season, which saw Thatcham Town secure promotion to Step 4 and triumph in the FA Vase Final at Wembley Stadium, an iconic chapter in the club’s history.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to Eric and Sylvia for everything they have done for Thatcham Town FC. Their legacy will always be remembered, and they leave with the respect and gratitude of everyone associated with the club.

As we look to the future, Club Chairman Phil Holdway is keen to build a strong and committed committee to help take Thatcham Town FC forward. This new chapter presents an exciting opportunity for fresh ideas, renewed energy, and community involvement as we continue to grow both on and off the pitch.
