Thatcham Town FC can confirm that our scheduled away fixture against Bashley FC on Tuesday has been postponed following the devastating incident involving Bashley player Jordan Chiedozie and club physio Reighan Taylor.

Given the severity of the situation, Bashley FC quite rightly requested to postpone Tuesday’s fixture, a decision the Southern League has respectfully agreed to. We fully support this decision, as football is secondary in such heartbreaking circumstances.

Everyone at Thatcham Town FC sends their deepest thoughts, prayers, and well wishes to Jordan, his family, friends, and everyone at Bashley FC during this incredibly difficult time. We also extend our support to Reighan, who has shown incredible bravery in the face of such a traumatic event.

Football brings people together, and at times like this, the entire footballing community stands united. Our thoughts remain with Bashley FC, and we continue to wish Jordan strength in his recovery.
