After last weekend's penalty shootout win over Sholing in the FA Trophy, Thatcham return to league action at home to Hanwell Town.
Manager Jamie Leacock gave his thoughts on the FA Trophy win and the upcoming fixture.
"Last Saturday saw us progress into the next round of the FA Trophy. We were extremely proud of the performance the team put in on the day. To win the penalty shoot out for us was not luck but justice that vindicated the performance.
Today sees us face Hanwell Town who are tipped to be in the play-off positions if not challenging for the league. They come into the game having scored 15 goals in their last 3 games so are full of confidence"
Our visitors currently sit in 6th with 3 wins and a draw from their 6 games so far, which puts them 2 points above Thatcham. Hanwell include ex Kingfisher left back Joel Jacobs in their squad.
Their most recent league fixture saw them thrash Sutton Common Rovers 5-1, Ogochukwu Obi netted a hat-trick to take his tally to 6 for the season.
The only recent meetings between the two clubs came in 2006-07, Thatcham's first season in the Southern League. Thatcham won 2-1 at Reynolds Field, then 3-1 at Waterside Park.
