Pre-Season Friendly Preview: TTFC vs Thame United
Thatcham Town’s first home fixture of their so far successful pre-season comes against Thame United on Tuesday evening (7:45pm kick off)
Danny Robinson’s side come into the game fresh from their 4-1 triumph over the reigning FA Vase winners Chertsey Town last week.
One player who found their name on the scoresheet once again for the Kingfishers was Felipe Barcelos - who added Thatcham’s second of the game and his eleventh since the start of pre-season.
Thame have also recorded some impressive victories over Beaconsfield, Brackley Town Saints and Penn Tyler Green coming in recent weeks.
Head-to-head:
Thame United 0-2 TTFC (February, 2017)
The last meeting between the two teams came in February 2017 where Thatcham ran out 2-0 winners over the Oxfordshire-based club.
First half goals from Yashwa Romeo and Stuart Parker captured the Blues’ seventh away victory of the 2016/17 campaign.
TTFC 3-2 Thame United (March, 2016)
Rob Gerrard’s dramatic strike in the 94th minute sealed a close 3-2 victory for the Kingfishers back in March 2016.
The Blues had fallen behind just before half-time but bounced back with a brace from Bennett before Gerrard’s late effort bagged all three points.
TTFC 2-0 Thame United (January, 2015)
