Former Chippenham Town winger James Guthrie has signed for Thatcham Town from Swindon Supermarine.
James spent a brief spell at the Webbs Wood Stadium having played for Chippenham Town for 8 seasons, featuring in the Conference South for three seasons after helping them win the Southern League Premier.
James, who describes himself as “a hard working winger who tries to get crosses into the box,” joins up with some friends and former team-mates in the Kingfishers’ squad.
Upon moving to the Stacatruc Stadium, James commented, “I know Thatcham are a team on the up, and heard a lot about them following the FA Vase win a couple of seasons ago. I hope to come in, make a positive impact, help the team continue their good form and ultimately gain promotion to the league above.”
