Town can extend an early unbeaten league run when Bideford visit The Stacatruc Stadium on Saturday (3:00pm kick-off)

Danny Robinson’s squad return to Southern League action after a narrow 3-2 defeat to Salisbury in the FA Cup while Bideford also crashed out in a 5-3 loss against Cinderford Town.

But The Blues have picked up four wins and one draw in their opening five domestic fixtures, pushing the club to second in the table.

Bideford sit eleventh after wins over Willand Rovers and Moneyfields, but defeats against Frome Town and Paulton Rovers have dented their league form.

The away side have also been hampered by injuries with potentially nine players missing for Saturday’s match.

The visitors held firm defensively until Ryan Turner’s curling effort broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute.

Moments later Kyle Tooze levelled the score after latching onto a flick-on before brushing past the Bideford goalkeeper and tapping in.

But the visitors walked away with all three points when Billy Tucker’s late penalty sealed the game.
