One new player and two familiar faces return

Although we haven't played a competitive fixture since our loss in the FA Trophy, Yash and the management team have been busy recruiting new additions to the playing squad and three players have been added

David Nyarko - after a successful loan period in October 2022, David has returned to us after being released by Reading FC in the summer.

Yash commented "Having David come in is a massive lift for the club & the players. I've been keeping an eye on David throughout pre season & through the season, I managed to twist his arm to come to Thatcham & just enjoy football again. In his month loan spell from Reading last year he scored 6 goals in 5 games, so hopefully he can replicate that sort of form again & was a fans favourite in that short time he was here".

Kyle Daniel-Spray - A left back that played with David Nyarko at Reading FC

Yash commented "Kyle is a left back was previously with Reading FC last season, with us needing to fill that spot, he played in a friendly on Saturday for us & his all round game was very good. So it just made sense for both parties to make this happen very quickly"

Curtis Angel - We welcome the return of fans favourite Curtis Angell. Curtis has previously made 120 appearances, scoring 3 goals and keeping 1 Clean Sheet! Curtis was part of the FA Vase/Hellenic double team but moved to National South Team Hungerford Town FC in 2020.

Comments From Yash "Curtis is an excellent addition to the squad, one of the challenges i've had at Thatcham is bringing in players with experience & Curtis will bring that as he's play Conference South football. From playing with & against Curtis, I know he's a winner & a no nonsense defender, he's probably forgotten but I still actually owe him a good tackle from years ago

All players will be available for selection this weekend
