Thatcham have been on an incredible run of form with just one loss in all competitions which has seen the Kingfishers fly to the summit of the Southern League.

Barnstaple, meanwhile, have conceded 23 goals in league action which worst record in the Southern League. The home side have lost their last six fixtures including a recent 4-0 defeat to Paulton Rovers.

But the Devon-based team may find a new lease of life under new manager Dean Edwards. The former Exeter and Torquay player joined the club last week so his new squad will be aiming to impress their new boss.

Thatcham also have new additions looking to make a vital impact with Matt Partridge, Lamin Sankoh and Fabio Pinto joining the Blues at the end of September.

The last meeting between the two sides at Mill Road resulted in a narrow 2-1 win for the Kingfishers after goals from Jack Alexander and Shane Cooper-Clark sealed the victory.
