Read the thoughts of U18s Manager, Adam Page, ahead of Thursday night's season opener.

It is a squad that is young, talented and hungry for success.

With the new season about to kick off away to Binfield on Thursday night, we have also been given a home tie in the FA Youth Cup against Marlow. This game will be played on Monday night. Ahead of those two fixtures, I would like to let our supporters know about the work that has been going on this summer.

We have had huge changes in all areas of our youth set up, including our coaching team where we welcome Mike Aspell who has taken on the role of assistant manager. Mike has managed youth teams in the local area for a number of years, so brings a great deal of knowledge and experience to our set up. We also welcome James Parker who is a young coach with fantastic ideas. James likes to work closely with our players. We are delighted that Jamie Povey has agreed to continue in his role as goalkeeper coach. I have coached with Jam for a number of years now and know that he will continue to do a fantastic job working with our goalkeepers this season.

As mentioned, we have had made huge changes, including introducing more than 20 players into our squad. This year we have a much larger squad but it is a squad that is young, talented and hungry for success. We are also delighted to have retained the services of some of last season's squad.

A lot of our players will be making a step up from youth football to playing at Allied Counties Level. I know the boys are excited about the challenges that we will face this season. Pre-season has been strong and we have seen progression as the summer has gone on.

Please feel free to come along and support the boys this season. All support will be very welcome!
