Sam joined the Kingfishers in the summer of 2019 having spent the last three seasons playing in the Southern League with Didcot Town.

Having broken into the Wantage Town first team at the age of 16, Sam spent a couple of years at Alfredian Park before signing for Didcot in 2016. He was part of the Didcot team which reached the Division One play-offs and the final of the Southern League Cup in 2017/18.

During 2018/19 he was an ever-present, performing the role of vice-captain and on occasion captain. He played at right-back for most of the last campaign, but is a versatile player and is equally happy in midfield. He is a hard-working player who puts in a real shift, likes to get on the ball and make things happen.
