The Kingfishers play their last game of the 2018/19 campaign against Slimbridge at Waterside Park this Saturday (3:00pm kick off.)

Thatcham approach their final match filled with confidence after their comfortable 3-0 win over AFC Totton on Monday.

That victory emphasised the fine run of form that the Blues have embarked upon in recent games, with Danny Robinson’s side winning their last three fixtures against Totton, Larkhall Athletic and Paulton Rovers.

A push for a top half finish is definitely within reach with Thatcham currently sat tenth in the league standings and level on points with Melksham Town and Totton.

If the Blues record a fourth consecutive win this weekend, they could leapfrog Street and Totton in the places above, depending on the outcomes of their fixtures against Yate Town and Mangotsfield United.

Slimbridge, however, will be desperate to put an end to their poor run of form which has seen the Swans lose their last six matches, conceding 26 times in the process.

The Gloucestershire-based side are safe from relegation as they sit 17th in the table with four points separating themselves from Barnstaple in the drop zone.

The January meeting between these two teams resulted in a narrow 1-0 loss for Robinson's side at Wisloe Road.

But Thatcham will be hoping that in-form forward, Kyle Tooze, can help his team record a crucial win by finding the net for a fourth consecutive game.

Home fans at Saturday’s match will also be able to see their Supporters Player of the Season named after full-time.
