The Kingfishers travel to 17th-placed Slimbridge AFC for their first away fixture of 2019 (kick-off 3:00.)

Town visit Thornhill Park in fine form after taking 13 points in their last five fixtures over an impressive festive period.

Three of those points came from the Blues’ last game; a 3-0 home win over AFC Totton and a result that lifted the club to tenth in the league table.

Thatcham manager Danny Robinson believes recent performances have raised confidence within the squad: “Winning games and confidence go hand in hand.

“I think the result at Bideford showed that we can compete at this level. We can, if we’re all together and working hard for each other, get the results.”

Robinson also took time to praise the impact that new signings Adam Kelly and Conor Lynch have had since their arrivals over Christmas: “Adam Kelly started very, very well.

“He’s scored two goals, he gives us more quality on the ball and hard work off of it. He’s a great signing for us and Conor Lynch has done well for us coming off the bench.

“He’s done very well and he will continue to hurt sides so I’m pleased with those two, most definitely.”

The home side, however, suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at Cinderford Town last time around and Swans fans haven’t seen a home win since October.

A potential boost for Slimbridge is Robinson’s confirmation that Tom Melledew and Lewis Coyle will both miss out due to knee injuries, with James Tennant also away.
