Southern League action returns this weekend as Thatcham travel to the Corinium Stadium to face Cirencester Town (Saturday, kick-off 3:00pm.)

The Kingfishers are pushing for a repeat result against the hosts, having brushed aside their upcoming opponents 2-0 in their last meeting in the FA Trophy in October.

Danny Robinson's side head into the fixture aiming to avenge recent losses to Melksham Town and Street which have seen them exit the FA Trophy and drop valuable league points.

But Cirencester’s most recent outing against Bideford resulted in a 4-0 drumming for the former, so both sides will be raring to make amends.

Robinson’s team received a boost midweek after announcing Jack Alexander as the squad’s most recent addition. The 21-year-old full-back joins the club after leaving Swindon Submarine.

Thatcham sit 14th in the league table with the home team currently three places above in 11th with just a point between the two clubs.

Three points is all that separates Thatcham from sixth-placed Moneyfields which shows exactly how close positions are heading into this weekend’s games.
