Thatcham Town are back on the road in the Southern League on Saturday, with a trip to second-placed Blackfield & Langley (kick-off 3:00pm.)

Danny Robinson’s side showed resilience in their last outing by clawing back a two-goal deficit to draw 3-3 with Cinderford Town at Waterside Park.

The Kingfishers also boast an almost full squad fit for the game, giving the 32-year-old plenty of options for this weekend’s tie.

A win could see the Blues close the gap on their close rivals with just three points between themselves and 10th placed AFC Totton.

But Blackfield & Langley have remained consistent throughout the campaign thus far, recording less than half of the Blues’ total losses this season.

The Watersiders have the potential to leapfrog Yate Town and reach the summit of the division if they pick up a win and the latter fail to beat Paulton Rovers.

Similarly, Thatcham have come out victorious in two of their last three away league fixtures, whilst Blackfield & Langley have picked up the same number of points within their last three league ties at home.

With the 2017/18 Wessex Premier League champions coming head-to-head with last season’s Hellenic League Premier Division and FA Vase winners, the game looks set to be filled with quality.
