The Kingfishers make a lengthy trip to Devon in today’s Southern League fixture against Bideford (3:00 kick-off.)

Danny Robinson’s side are eager to put their last outing, a 3-0 defeat at the hands of table-topping Blackfield and Langley, behind them as they focus on closing the gap between themselves and the hosts.

Just two points separate the two teams, meaning the Blues could leapfrog their opponents if they record a crucial win.

The visitors currently sit 16th in the table whilst Bideford are positioned three places above.

Town hold a slight advantage in the standings with a game in hand over their upcoming opponents, but the Robins will be fighting to regain a grip on their league form.

Bideford have gone through their last five Southern League games without a win – registering just one point and conceding 15 goals in the process.

Both sides have had troubles holding off dominant attackers found at this level of the game; the Robins’ goal difference currently sits at -6, whilst the Kingfishers hold a total of -9.

The fight for points will be heating up spectators in the cold weather at The Sports Ground this Saturday, as a win for either side appears crucial.
