The Kingfishers return to Waterside Park in an early kick-off this Saturday, with high-flying Melksham Town paying a visit (1:00pm kick-off.)

Town's last outing, a narrow 1-0 win over Bideford AFC, moved the blues to 14th in the table and seven points clear of the bottom three.

Melksham have been in fine form so far this term, with only three teams scoring more goals as they sit fifth.

The away side have walked away victorious in four of their last five league fixtures, whereas the Blues have picked up seven points in their last five matches.

Although Melksham find themselves within touching distance of Moneyfields and Evesham United, they have failed to pick up points away from Oakfields Stadium.

In fact, the club’s last away win in the Southern League came in their 1-0 result over Paulton Rovers in August.

The two teams met at Waterside Park in late October for the FA Trophy Qualifying Round. Melksham picked up a close 1-0 win to put them through but haven’t won on the road since.

Last season’s top goal scorer for Thatcham, Shane Cooper-Clark, was on target for the Kingfishers in their last outing and could feature again this weekend.

As the weather gets colder by the minute, make sure to wrap up warm for Saturday’s game and remember the earlier kick-off time at 1:00pm.
