Tonight the Kingfishers travel to Ascot United in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup. Danny Robinson’s men will be looking to bounce back after a heavy defeat on Saturday, on a ground where we have a good recent record…

Last November Thatcham won 2-1 at The Racecourse in a Hellenic League fixture, with Shane Cooper-Clark scoring twice. Meanwhile the previous season Thatcham won there 3-0 with James Tennant 2 & Jemel Johnson on target.

However Ascot managed a 2-2 draw in January ’16, levelling through a late David Pitt penalty, and beat us 4-1 in September ’16. But two months after that defeat, Thatcham returned and won 2-0 in Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy thanks to goals from Yash Romeo and Chace Jewell.

The two First Round results so far have been Aylesbury 2 - 4 Bracknell Town, and Reading City 1 - 3 Flackwell Heath.

Remaining First Round fixtures are Abingdon Utd v Windsor, Wantage Town v Binfield, Marlow v Didcot Town, and Aylesbury Utd v Newport Pagnell.
