Farrelly, 17, joined Andover following his release from AFC Bournemouth. During the 2016/17 season he was part of the Andover Youth Team which reached the 3rd Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup before being eliminated by Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

George then spent last season at Alresford Town and was a key member of a team which finished mid-table in the Wessex Premier Divison but also won the Southampton Senior Cup Final at St Mary’s Stadium. He was a regular selection in the centre of midfield, sometimes playing in a more advanced role, which led to him scoring 10 goals and registering a similar number of assists.

Upon signing for the Kingfishers Farrelly commented “I am looking forward to testing myself at a higher level of football in the Southern League. I hope to make an impression at Thatcham Town by continuing to score goals and make assists.”
