After spending five seasons with Thatcham Town, goalkeeper Chris Rackley has announced his departure from Waterside Park.

After a brief spell with the club in 2012, he made his 'second debut' at Flackwell Heath in August 2014. He became the club’s first-choice goalkeeper during our four Hellenic League campaigns and this season made the step up to the Southern League.

He was an ever-present in the league during the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons and made a total of 222 league and cup appearances for the Kingfishers.

In that time he kept 68 clean sheets, most notably at Wembley Stadium as the club beat Stockton Town to win the FA Vase. He also earned the Manager's Player of the Year award for the 2015/16 season.

Manager Danny Robinson commented "I would like to say a big thank-you to Racks, he has been a very consistent player and a key member of the squad as the club has progressed over the last five seasons. I would like to wish him the very best with whatever he decides to do next."

All at the club would like to wish him good luck for the future.
